I'm a huge fan of the original, but I have to say I liked the remake a little bit more. Specifically because of the explanation of what was behind the wall in the basement. I always wondered what the source of evil was in the house. I also would have liked a little more super natural exploration into psychic's/medium's perspective from what she was feeling from the house to really spook the audience. Overall I would say it was a good movie, but the orignal left a lot to the imagination. Also like to mention that George was a little crueler to Billy during the wood chopping scene. |
