OK, I admit I was skeptical; Didn't sound all that great, but my friend talked me into it. Glad I went! I'm more of an action/adventure kind of girl, but the paranormal can pull me in too. "White Noise" is nice blend of decent acting (nice to see Keaton back, he's believable and will endear the audience as the newly widowed non-believer), so-so story line (it is slow in places, but worth the wait), and a pretty good "jump factor". The visual effects are good for what they intend, nothing stellar but because of the content they don't need to be. The film is based on "EVP", something that will have you thinking (or send a chill down your spine) the next time the cable or dish goes out and your TV is full of snow. I recommend seeing it in a theatre for the "jump factor", those moments that will make the weak hearted screech and the strong still jump in their seats. Waiting for it to come out on DVD will not have the same effect...B+ |
