I just returned from seeing this movie and I am still thinking about it. Now, having said that, I think that the average American movie-goer will definitely not like this movie. The pacing of the film is much slower than your typical American movie. The film, however, certainly has depth but most won't want to waste their time thinking about it. Ultimately, I felt this film suceeded on several levels. It posed some interesting questions. You have your typical, "What happens when we die?" and "What is love?" questions but I think more interestingly it asks the questions, "How much do we know when we get here?" and "How do we end up forgetting it?" |
