The movie was excrutiating on so many levels. The comparison to "Eyes Wide Shut" is apt. Both movies show self-centered people. Both had scenes that seemed endless ... not in a compelling way but in a "when will this finally end" way. I felt that none of the characters had any chemistry. The acting was wooden and forced. And the much talked-about bathtub scene was just pointless; even if you believe that this 10-year-old is her dead husband you can not ignore that he is a child and thus untouchable. We are never let in to why this child has surfaced as her husband. We are never shown what a great love that they possibly had (I mean, why return if it wasn't?) and are in fact shown that her husband was a liar and cheat. And in one scene, we are forced to watch the lack of expression on Nicole Kidman's face for what seems like hours while she supposedly comes to terms with the possibility of her husband having returned.

Don't waste your money and especially don't waste your time with this film. It isn't worth either.
