Completely unexpected! Has to be the movie of the year for me, thus far. I enjoyed it so much during a matinee, I invited a group of friends to see it with me again later that night! They, too, had such a great time. The following day, I received calls from them thanking me, for they probably never would have gone to see it.
You'll definately laugh, jump, and of course be a bit grossed out, but prepare yourself... this one actually made me FEEL!!! At times, I had a lump in my throat... on the brink of real tears!!! And, it's a ZOMBIE MOVIE!!!
Being an old school zombie movie fan from the works of Romero and Fulci, to enjoying the newage zombies of "28 days later..." and "Resident Evil", I have to say that "Shaun of the Dead", with its brillant cast, having incredible chemistry and timely humor, has put itself in a class of its own. It truly is "A Romantic comedy. With zombies." |
