I heard about Shaun of the Dead last year and didn't pay too much attention to it. It will get here eventually...
Wow.. What a mistake to wait.
This is one of the best zombie movies... ever. While Dawn of the Dead, the original, will probably always be my favorite, Shaun is right there, on the verge of taking over my number one spot.
The story is about Shaun, the average slacker guy who is just running through life and just happens to have a really bad day.
His girlfriend dumps him, his stepdad yells at him, his coworkers mock him, his roommates are making him nuts and to top it off.. red ink sucks.
He is so preoccupied with his bad day, he some how misses all the warning signs that something bad might be arriving...
Enter the zombies and the actions that will change Shaun the Slacker to Shaun the hero.
This movie has everything. Humor, gore, action... I can not recommend it enough.
If you know some one who is curious about zombie films, but are afraid, this is a great transitional film. |
