I'm usually skeptical of movies based on TV series, but I have to say that Serenity completely blew my expectations! The acting was excellent, especially that of Nathan Fillion, whose Captain Mal Reynolds comes across as a somewhat harder and darker version than the one we know from the series. Visuals were stunning, I would say that they were as good as that of Star Wars Episode 3.
To kedrell, who gave the movie an F without even having seen it: Go see the movie BEFORE you pass judgement on it! I'm no fan of Buffy or Angel either, but Joss Whedon redeemed himself in my eyes with Firefly and now Serenity.
I really hope they bring back the Firefly series! |
