Team America is dead-on with its over-the-top portrayal of Liberal "hollywood activist" sleaze. It's only funny because there is so much truth to it. I saw this movie in a black neighborhood, and although they were 90% liberal, they hooted and hollared at the satire. Some of the characters (Hans Blix, etc.) had no name recognition, but the movie doesn't linger on these characters...
It's fast paced, and brilliantly directed. The musical scores are gems. If any of you ever wanted your 2 hours back after watching a Jerry Bruckheimer train wreck, this is the movie for you!! |
