Attended Hollywood Premier

I was lucky enough to attend the Hollywood Premier of this Indie movie, also. My only critique of this movie is one I have of several movies of late: Why does my generation have to rely so much on the "cheap shot" to make their point, i.e. constant profane lanugage and graphic sexuality? I find movies that avoid using these fallbacks to be much more creative to get points across, but, that is a personal preference.
On the whole, I was presently surprised. I expected worse. The director is gifted and Zack Ward was very present. I found those two made the experience worth while for me. I hope they go on to do more work, as I find both fascinating. Take a chance and watch the movie, if only to see Zack Ward on-stage with a Mime act. That scene will stay with me and color my perception of this movie for all time. The point won't come to you until you reach the end and then you'll kick yourself for not seeing it in the first place. |
