While many of you may be looking for Oscar caliber performances from your former Cult TV Goddess, this film was certainly not written to cater to any one character. It was made to scare the audience. I, for one, actually SAW the movie last night at the 12:00am screening. The theater was packed, and the audience was very responsive to it. While the film is scary, many of the tricks used in this movie are all but overdone, and quite a few people were laughing-- until the scary part happened. Then no one was laughing. The Grudge wasn't a GREAT movie, but it certainly isn't as terrible as some people would like you to think. I'd definitely see it again |
