Beyond the Sea stars Keivn Spacey as Bobby Darrin, and Kate Bosworth as his wife Sandra Dee. The film follows the life of Bobby Darin as young child in his humble beginnings, the struggle he went through to get his career started, his relationship with his wife and son, and the rise and fall of his career.
Beyond the Sea is probabaly my favourite bio-pic. I loved everything about it. All the actors to a good job at portraying their characters. Kate Bosworth was the best though. The music is wonderful, and Kevin Spacey sings all of the songs phenomenally. All of the musical numbers are fun and extremely well done. The film also has some purely entertaining and joyous scenes depicting the realtionship of Darrin, and Sandra Dee, like when she cries on their wedding night, and when they both want to leave each other after Darrin loses the Oscar.
Beyond the Sea is one of those movies where you can't help but have a good time. The music alone is reason to see the movie. Kate Bosworth is amazing, Kevin Spacey hits evry right note, no pun intended, and overall this is definately a movie that you will enjoy. |
