What a shame!

As a Mexican-American, I am disappointed that a Mexican actually wrote and directed this racist film. It's full of degrading stereotypes which serve no clear purpose. Contrary to popular belief, NOT all Mexicans work in service industries. To lump an ethnic group like that is not only inaccurate, but irresponsible filmmaking. What's even more appalling is that those movie watchers who gave this film an "A" can barely spell or write complete sentences. Wake up, people. This is not a film about "la raza", it's Hollywood trying to make a buck. It does nothing but perpetuate the the "it's us against them" attitude. ALL ethnic groups make valuable contributions to society. This movie does more harm to racial harmony, than it does good. What a shame/que lastima! |
