This movie concentrates on Latin/Hispanic people in certain jobs because certain jobs have a majority of Hispanic people and that type of industry would take a big hit if all the Hispanic people disappeared. It doesn't concentrate on Hispanic business-men, police, politicians, etc because those jobs are mostly white or mixed and the impact wouldn't be as great. This movie is more racist against white people, showing how helpless they would be if a trash collector, landscaper, car wash employee disappeared. It shows white people concentrate on the wrong things in life, like materialism and money and don't know what is needed to survive in life and don't make priorities correctly, like family, friends.
Okay? Get it? And it's a comedy, not a political documentary about Hispanic people, or welfare, or government or racism. COMEDY !! Either you think it's funny or not funny. So, is Soul Plane racist against black people? Is Star Wars racist against robots? You can't like every movie. Vote with your dollars. Leave or don't see it if you don't like it or don't understand it. |
