I'm not a surfer and I liked this a lot. I dont think it was quite as good as his first doc. (Dogtown & Z boys), but still quite good. Dogtown had better music and you had a very personal relationship to the less fortunate players in that journey. However, the old footage he's gotten a hold of here is great, and he does a very solid job of telling the big wave story. The new footage is nothing short of spectacular. Highley worth the $10 I paid. With so many dissapointing and kind of boring (predictable) films out this summer, this was a welcome change. |
