Excellent - You Don't Need to Surf to Appreciate

This movie is very well done and very interesting. You don't need to be a surfer or even into sports to appreciate it and be touched by it.
This movie works for several reasons including:
* Very interesting characters
* The intense and unpredictable (and sometimes fatal) drama of surfing
* The amazing waves created by nature
This movie is very much worth seeing, and seeing at the theater (vs. renting at home). The director also did "Dogtown and Z Boys" which is about the skateboard movement that I recommend for many of the same reasons. |
