I didn't know what to expect going into the theater, just praying that Sin City wasn't another bad adaptation of "comic book to silver screen" style movie. Good thing though, like many in the theater I imagine, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. It's hard not to recognize any of the characters with all the star power in the lineup. Great job by the casting director as everyone blended well together contributing their part to the story. Much of the movie has a strong feel that you're reading a graphic novel with characters talking to themselves, jumps between several plots, and unreal action sequences. That's what makes it fun to watch!! The girls of Sin City are tantalizing and dangerous, while the guys are heroes or plain evil. If you're looking for sex, violence, & comedy in a fantasy setting much like a comic book, Sin City won't disappoint you one bit. |
