After a successful "last score", two master thieves (Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek) are finally retiring in their own tropical paradise.
But, with the arrival in port of a cruise ship-borne display of jewels (featuring 'The Third Napoleon Diamond' in the collection) FBI agent Stan Lloyd (Woody Harrelson) thinks this will be their next great heist.
I've seen better heists movies such as: Ocean's Eleven, The Italian Job, The Thomas Crown Affair, etc... Although not as good as those other movies After the Sunset is much better than you would expect, a good example of a popcorn movie with its cool heists and a several very funny moments. It has a surprise ending. It is rated PG-13 but could easily pass as an R. |
