Idiotic Genius!

Finally, a comedy that's actually funny! There just aren't enough mainstream movies with low brow humor these days, so we have to savor the moment when they actually decide to put one in the theatre. The plot itself is clearly idiotic and there in lies its charm. Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle had the right formula to be a quality movie: toilet humor (literally), topless women and Doogie Howser.
The guys who play Harold & Kumar are very good in their big-break film. Actually most of the cast was very good -- even down to the character actors which sometimes can be the pits in a production like this. And while most of the film was completely ridiculous -- yet funny, riding the back of a cheetah and sky diving was a bit over the top even for their standards. It's most memorable scene will definitely be when they find themselves accidentally caught in the middle stall during a competitive game of 'Battlesh*ts". Girls don't really play that, do they?
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is actually an inspirational movie. After it was over, we were inspired to then proceed to drive way out of the way for one of our own favorite delicacies: a genuine Philadelphia cheesesteak. Sometimes some food is just worth the insanely long road trip. So not only did I laugh along with Harold & Kumar, I share their passion and was inspired by their vision.
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is a funny movie and I recommend it to those people who enjoy fart jokes, drug humor and delicious mini-cheeseburgers. |
