This movie redefines 'Laugh Out Loud Comedy'

In a simple yet thorough manner, this film will keep you more than awake, it will keep you laughing hysterically throughout with its not-stop variety of comedic situations which Harold & Kumar get themselves into, not to mention the definitive perspectives from which they view the situations. Upon first impression the plot sounds almost too simplistic to be very entertaining, yet it will surprise you time and time again as these two characters take you on a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs, primarily due to the opposites-attract dynamic of their obviously close-knit friendship, as well as a few chance encounters thrown in just to spice things up. Though at times these chance-encounters could be considered slightly over-the-top in their extremities, the ease with which they deliver their roles makes that realization nothing more than an afterthought. The characters (Harold & Kumar) themselves are so likable that you can't help but be charmed by even the dullest of the scenes. Even situations which in another film might be considered predictable, are a delight to sit through as Harold & Kumar fully deliver just the right emotions in their expressions and seemingly-genuine reactions. However fortunately for us, the scenes are in fact chock-full with a hilarious creativity which leaves us wanting more even after the credits end. Speaking of credits, should you decide to leave before the credits finish running, you may just be cheating yourself out of a few extra laughs. If your looking for a super light comedy that will have you full engrossed, this is likely the right film to satisfy your craving. 'Harold & Kumar go to White Castle' takes the idea of "Laugh Out Loud Comedy" to refreshingly new heights. |
