Before Sunset is the best kind of sequal. It's part epilogue and partly independent of the first film. I think you should have seen the first one, preferably years ago, to enjoy this installment to it's fullest. However there are terrific conversations between the characters that may interest even those who don't care about "the story." Julie Delpy is as beautiful and engaging as ever. She and Ethan Hawke have progressed the incredible connection they began in Before Sunrise. Their romance is the most intense and realistic I've ever seen. This is one of the best movies of the year. |
