By far the best movie of the year so far.

There aren't enough words to describe how incredible this film was. I had very high expectations from the actors and trailer, and this movie far surpassed them. Garden State succeeds in being something few films are these days; 100% real. Zach Braff has done a wonderful job as writer/director/star, a feat in its own right.
The film is about a TV actor, Andrew Largeman, who takes so many perscription drugs that he can barely feel anything anymore, who returns to his birth state of New Jersey to attend his mother's funeral. While in the "garden state," he takes a vacation from the medication, which, along with taking a trip down memory lane and having some new, awkward experiences, reminds him that he must live life to the fullest, and can't try to feel only the good emotions the world has to offer.
See this movie, and tell your friends; you need not look any further to find the best movie of the summer. |
