This movie will dissapoint anyone who has spent anytime blue water sailing. The situations set up by the director are just plain unbelievable and i found it hard to suspend my disbelief as I saw so many errors.;
1. They are sailing where to where?
2. They apparantly have no self steering yet Nicole Kiddman is undersail alone and standing on the second spreader???
3. The hero swims through the bilge of an aging Baltic or schooner, (floorboards are approx. 4-12" above ribs typically.)
4.after hijacking ship villan manages to go 46 NM. within how many hours? under power?
5. One mokmenyt the wind is blowing the next not.
6. Hero is drowning aboard "old schooner" Orpheus, while caught in some undefined compartment, swims through bilge, escapes through hole in bottom, yet boat still has 4-5' of freeboard from the outside. water & boats tend to seek their own level.
