I do understand that Ridley did not want to offend both Muslims and Christians. But he needs to realize that history can not , and should not be changed.
Saladin (Salah adin) was a great general, but not the "best" for Muslims.
Khald bin al waleed defeated 250,000 Perisans with only 30,000 men, and moreover, he defeated the Byzantine army of 90,000 with the same amount of men. He never lost any of his 43 battles (including small combats0.
The Defenders of Jeruslem were shown great in tactis, and skills in war, and that the would have "destroyed Saladin's army" if Saladin continued to fight. O my God! Ridley, were you dreaming when you were reading HISTORY!
Saladin defeated the christians in Hattin, and only in Jerusalem.
But the movie was awesome. But Ridley don't change history to make things look equal. Christians should learn how to take history, and many should, because Saladin was kind to them.
