I liked this movie, it had a good story behind it. A home-schooled girl makes her debut in high school. She becomes friends with a rather Goth-looking girl and another guy. After meeting the Plastics, her friends send her to spy on them and bring back all the dumb things the Plastics say and do. The leader of the Plastics is a lying, manapulating, phony, selfish girl. I find it interesting that once she is "in" with the Plastics, she becomes the very thing that she dislikes. So, kids, when your parents try to tell you what kind of friends to hang out with, they know that it is inevitable that you will become just like the people you hang out with. But in the end everyone learns a valuable lesson: don't be mean and lie about other people just because they are different than you. I give it one thumb up on the moral in the movie...I believe we all need to hear it again every now and then. |
