The one thing that hooked me into this film was Kiefer Sutherland because he has a wonderful line of work behind him. Although his role really surprised me, he portrays the character powerfully. I never expected to see him so uptight and compulsive, but then slowly it all melt away and you watch him even as an adult grow up...
Behind the Red Door had gorgeous scenery and themes to accompany it as well as a very talented small cast, but Kiefer Sutherland delivered such an outstanding performance that I would recommend to any who haven't seen it.
I enjoy how it takes you through their childhood past and the family secrets, how brother and sister are equally talented artists, but the growth and rebuilding of their love really bring tears to your eyes.
You really step into the story. |
