Bridget's gone chick flick...

As a male, Bridget Jones Diary (the original) embraced most aspects of movies that we enjoy. It had crude humor, indecent adult interaction, and a plot line that didn't follow the normal chick flick routine. This movie was much of the same minus the last part (the chick flick one). Edge of reason's screen play writer seemed to lose grasp of their original ability to pull laughes from Bridgets verbose character and bring her to the level of hillary duff (a little bit of an overstatement, but you get my point) and the rest of the chick flick industry. Don't get me wrong... i was still able to enjoy, but the story was much more choppy this time and was most definately a straight up chick flick.
The movie starts with Bridget happily in love with mark darcey. She was on top of the world until the honeymoon of the relationship was over and she started having to act like an adult. A mix of jealosy and confusion brings her to drop Mark and once again fall into the arms of danial cleaver. This time the drama between bridget and danial is cut short. Bridget then gets in trouble, Mark comes to her rescue, mark and danial fight, and Bridget and mark live happily ever after. And because the movie was that easy to sum up you can understand my truth that this is to much of a chick flick and not what we originally grew to love as a individual mirimax success!
To sum things up... parents don't bring your kids for there be much swearing and sexual connotation. Girls will enjoy while males will mostly sit in frustration that this one was not like the other or as good for that matter. Overall, giving this movie a B may have been generous, but i couldn't live with myself by dropping zellweger and the gang with much less than that after the original.
