Portrait of Human Decency

I watched this movie late at night after many glasses of wine and a long day. I knew I needed sleep, but could not stop watching. Much of the dialog was too quick and accented for my fuzzy hearing, but the story came through loud and clear. There is kindness and goodness in people that always shines brighter than their failings. The cinematography varies from gorgeous settings to almost homemade looking little scenes of the ordinary. In between there are emotionally intense scenes for which words fail. One just has to see. One could come up with a list of flaws for this movie, but the question to ask is why? It should be seen regardless. |
