Can't agree with critics

I agree with Roger Ebert about 90% of the time and I have not been a big fan of Jane Fonda over the years, but my wife dragged me to see this film and we both really enjoyed it. It IS spoiled a bit by "poo poo" and "dog humping" "jokes" that modern screenwriters seem incapable of avoiding, but it is a pretty cute film. It was certainly not the dreadful experience that I was expecting. My wife loved it -- as did the near capacity audience on a Sunday afternoon. The crowd was animated in its amusement and appreciation. The film is a bit slapstick, but that is the genre of this piece. It is well acted and reflects well on Fonda and Lopez. |
