I honestly thought this movie would be stupid, but it had me laughing throughout the whole thing. Very funny, and very clever at times. The guy that played the basketball player "Latrell Spencer" was also hilarious. Out of the two "White Chicks", Marlon Wayans was the most impressive, and showed he had the most talent. His facial expressions (scrunching up the nose with the "Oh-my-God" attitude) and other mannerisms were more believable when it came to acting like the stereotypical blonde shallow white girl.
The majority of the people on here that gave it bad reviews are overly-sensitive people when it comes to race, and felt offended. They didn't judge it by its comedic value, they went by how much it offended them.
The others who give it bad reviews are people that nitpick over every little thing like the "believability" and other "artistic" qualities that one would only care about in a Broadway theatrical performance. Wake up people, this is a COMEDY and is SUPPOSED to be far-fetched! It's not even attempting to go up for any Oscars or Academy awards! So stop being a TIGHTWAD and just look for its comedic value. Of course, I'm not saying that it should look low-budget and poor in other areas, but as a far-fetched comedy it should at least hold its own. Which it does. But don't expect anything melodramatic that can compete with Titanic or any other high-budget movie. |
