Hilarious Parody!

This movie was AWESOME! It was a hilarious parody based on the Hilton sisters. It really exposed what lives of glamour and fame really are like (kind of like The O.C.).
STORY: The story was great. It was witty, funny, and the plot was very well thought-out. Some of the things that unfold in the movie are very funny. Of course, people with no sense of humor whatsoever would think that some of those parts are dumb. The Wilson (Hilton) sisters are targetted as victims of a kidnapping (possibly for ransom), and FBI agents who want to get their careers going up after an unsuccesful bust attempt take the case. Things go wrong, and they end up having to pretend to be the Wilson sisters, taking the Hamptons world by storm. This was awesome and fun to see how the two FBI agents could really get into playing those two roles.
ACTING: The acting wasn't that spectacular, but hey, who really cares in a comedy, right? No. Some of the parts of romance were too cheesy. The actors didn't seem to be able to convey it to the audience much. Other than that, they were very, very humorous.
DIRECTION: The directing was terrific. The fact that the Wayans brothers did this was great to know. They have tons of chemistry together, and they know how to please the audience. The fight scenes were well choreographed, and the funny parts were well developed so that the scene would generate a maximum laugh from the audience.
VISUALS: I guess the visuals part of this movie would be the fact that the two FBI agents transform into the Wilson sisters. The fact that they were too big and chubby compared to the REAL sisters was the bad thing about it. The good thing was how the rest of it all flowed. Little details like the scrunching of the nose while smiling and the girly hand gestures really showed how dedicated the film crew was to make this film truly authentic.
OVERALL: Overall, this movie was one that everyone should go watch. PROBABLY not suitable for anyone under 10 years old, as some of the scenes are very sexually connotated (for lack of better word). It's well worth your money. For me, seeing it on a WEDNESDAY, middle of the week, really removed all the stress as I was able to sit back, relax, and laugh away at a classic comedy. |
