Gritty, Grusome, and Very, Very, Well Done

Never Die Alone is very good, in fact it's to good. It is so good, that you don't want to imagine that these kind of things happen everyday in LA. DMX and the director people are very good at showing us how gritty and rugged these people live their lifes. The film takes us threw a very brutal life of King David played by DMX, a former drug dealer who comes back to LA to payback his former employer, but that goes wrong and he ends up dieing about 1 minute into the film. The rest of the movie is about the man who tries to help him and finds audio tapes of Davids life that he had been recording. He records everything from 5 very grusome murders to the girls he hooks up with and then decides that they make him fell weak because they are nice talented people, so he overdoses them on heroine and they all eventualy die. The movie is extreamly good at making you understand how these people live and, it gives you a chance to get the know the characters before they go bad. The film sort of just sucks you in to the movie, you want to leave because its hard to watch, but then you just can't leave, you just need to know how it ends. If you are interested in seeing this movie, you should know that it takes no risks at showing you stuff. There are countless and none stop brutal killings, and murders. They show us how easy it is to get addicted to these drugs, and then show us the grusome effects they can make on people. Think of it as "thirteen" ( the movie) for gangsters. Despite the films brutal content, it is very well done and should be nominated for some oscars next year. I wouldnt be suprissed if you saw it in the best drama or best picture catagories. |
