The Ring Now With 50% Less Shock Value

But Still Good.
WARNING: WILL PROBABLY CONTAIN SPOILERS..READ UNDER CAUTION.
This isn't a movie for those who love peices of trash like White Chicks.If you like stupid worthless movies without any emotion, then you'd hate this. If you love movies just ebcause it has a song you like in it, you'd hate this. While it doesn't have a point to it, it still is a good story, and for those who's idea of a great story is an alien fighting a predator for an hour and a half without any plot or character development, then don't see this film. Actually you may like this movie. I don't know,...ever since I saw the MAGIC JOHNSON THEATER Sketch on the OSCARS, I have been reanting about those dumb people ever since.
The other day I was looking at AINTITCOOLNEWS where they had a few people send in reviews. These people had to be the dumbest people on the planet, or haven't seen the first film. Some of them hadn't a clue in their, so I am going to use this space to clear up a few things from those reviews:
1. The deer attacked them because they don't like Samara. Supposedly her dad was a deer hunter, you'll see antlers in their basement. So deer is another thing that doesn't mix with Samara.
2.The reason why the tape ended up in Oregon(in fact the same town that the Goonies explored 20 years ago) is that people explored the Samamra tape virus. If you watch RINGS then you know that it became an entire urban legend and that there were groups of people who'd watch the tape, document themselves, and then copy it and show it to someone else. The ring tapes are spreading because they are being copied over and over again. Also the young fellow in thebeginning, was part of one of these groups(who had a deeper motive, they wanted to see what happened on DAY 7).Just take it as a virus that is spreading.
These reviewers probably din't care to much for the first, so thats probably why they were so bland towards this one..or they just want to bicker on the internet. People need to realize that IT ALL DOESN'T HAVE TO BE TOLD ON SCREEN. It is better to have questions unanswered because it gives you time to think about it, theorize.And this one does make new questions and doesnt answer them.
There is a really cool image in this film where Rachel looks out a window and see a tree in front of a house. This tree is the same exact tree that is burned in Aiden's room and Samamra's barn. I thought that was really really cool.
Personally I think Samara is an entity and has been for a long while before the Morgan family events. There is a bit of evidence in this film that is told by Evelyn, her real mom.
I can't wait to see it on dvd..reason why: Because I went to this crappy theater called DANBARY CINEMAS(here in Ohio)..the sound was horrible. First, the dialogue sounded like you were watching it on tv from 100 feet away, then after every reel change they had to fix the sound because it kept lowering to the point where the whole thing sounded like you were watching a tv 90 feet away.I can't wait for digital projectors to invade every theater. |
