Great movie for your little ones!

I truly believe that adults should not be rating this movie! IT IS A MOVIE FOR KIDS! Therefore I am grading it based on my daughter's reaction to the movie. And those adults who gave this movie poor marks because they themselves hated it should let their children grade the movie! Curious George is a sweet movie that leaves you and your children smiling when you leave the theatre. How anyone can "hate the monkey" is beyond me? He was animated so innocently that my three year old was completely fixated on him throughout the show. The visuals didn't bother me because I felt like I was watching scenes out of the book. And my daughter didn't seem to notice that the movie was in 2-D! It is a cartoon, and although it wasn't visually spectacular who cares? With this day in age we expect technology to make the movie, but the story made the movie! SO all you critics get over the fact that the visuals were in 2-D! And for all of you who bashed it because it is a kid's movie then get over yourselves and grade it based on how your kid/kids liked it because I bet they probably LOVED IT! I personally enjoyed everything about the movie, and the fact that my daughter wants me to only read her CURIOUS GEORGE books after seeing the movie says enough for me. This is probably not a movie for children over 10 so don't drag the entire family to see it unless your older children loved and/or still love the books! |
