No, this is not a hip film. No double entendres. No freaky CGI 2-1/2 dimensionality. No shout outs to vapid cultural references. No product placements. No frenetic out-of-place visuals. Just a movie made for kids. It is ideal for parents looking for a film to which they can take young children that tells a nice story and is respectful of the source (preserving their own memories of the books). Relax. Enjoy the film. Your kids will. |
