I loved Luther. At the end of the movie, the audience applauded. I haven't heard an audience do that in many years. Lutherans and other religions will love it for the historical background on the Reformation and the beginning of Protestant religions. Catholics will love it for initiating debates and discussions. Everyone will love this movie for the true-life example it portrays-a whistleblower and boat-rocker who had the courage in dangerous times to stand up alone against a world power. The movie portrayed how one ordinary person can, and did, change the course of world history. "Luher" exemplified the grave responsibility placed on each individual to stand up not just for oneself but for the greater good of all. I plan on seeing it again soon. |
