For those who don't know what Luther was all about this movie is a great synopsis. What made Luther great was the fight he undertook on behalf of what Christ's gospel was all about. God's plan for saving man from his sins is by faith and repentance and not by a man's good works or traditional duties. I cried watching the fight of true holiness over evil in the hearts of men. Like Braveheart and other great movies this will be worth buying and watching over and over. What an amazing time of history! Luther had flaws (a sinner) but this movie is a reminder to his accomplishments. Which he attributed to God's word! I hope Catholics and Protestants can realize this great biblically discovered deep truth of God's grace and compassion for sinners, the gospel. This movie should have been called "The Gospel"! But let this movie introduce you to one of the great men of faith who changed the world by God's grace! A great movie..I loved it! The old Black and White was good but this history needed to be retold afresh in color. Thank God for providing the means to those who wanted to retell this story. Prasie Him! |
