Ive been reading some of these fowl reviews of the movie. Just to shed light on one major thing. Mr. Jackson wasnt conveying a love relationship between the girl and Kong. Moreso, as a father/child relationship. The girl's admiration for Kong came from her knowing that while with Kong, nothing bad would ever happen to her. Also, that Kong would endure anything in the process. She knew that Kong would protect her with every ounce of his being... a quality the girl had never seen in another human being... self sacrifice for the benefit of a loved one. |
