Don't you just love it when a talented filmmaker makes a movie that combines kick-ass fight scenes with dialogue that is so great it's perfect on almost every level? Well, that's what "Kill Bill Vol. 2" does. This movie is on my top 10 list this year, and I think it is towards the top 5. Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" is such a great movie it should definetely be an Academy Award contender, and it will be neck and neck in the best director spot, between Tarantino and Gibson's "Passion". There are great performances all over this film, but the one that stands out is David Carradine as the title role, Bill. He is so great he should really be recognized for the Best Supporting Actor category. One of the coolest scenes in this movie is when Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah are fighting to the death. Earlier in the film we see Daryl Hannah's eye get plucked out, making her a "cyclops". So what does Uma Thurman do? She plucks out the other eye, making her blind, and then she steps on the eye with her bare foot. One of the best movies this year, go see it. |
