Story: 8/10
The story starts out following Dick (Carrey) who looses his job as his company suddenly goes bankrupt, and evenetually he and Jane (Leoni) resort to stealing in order to get what they "deserve" because they were "screwed". I love this idea and think it's very clever. Despite this though, the story at the end morphs into an Ocean's Eleven type planned out robbery plot, which works well on its own terms but doesn't necessarily work with the whole story. I liked the original idea that did end up slightly corrupted by the end, but the story still holds its own and doesn't take itself too seriously.

Acting: 9/10
I was very impressed with Jim Carrey and was happy that he brought his very unique comedic style to the film that only he can bring. Leoni also was outstanding. I compare their hookup to that of Jamie Lee Curtis and Tim Allen in the recent Christmas comedy, Christmas With The Kranks. In that film it seemed like Curtis was just fine and Allen brought most of the huge laughs and memorable secenes. With Dick and Jane, Tea Leoni carried her weight and had some huge laughs of her own. Overall they had great on screen chemistry and whoever's idea it was to put Carrey and Leoni together is a genius.

Enjoyability: 10/10
This film is just plain and simple a good time. I don't remember having this much fun at any movie in a long time, it was simply hilarious. I am a huge fan of slapstick comedy, but this was slapstick comedy with brains!

Accomplishes Goal: 8.5/10
Yes the film was very funny and very enjoyable, but I still don't know what its goal was. Was it meant to be a satire looking back on the Enron and corperate scandals? At times yes, at times no. Was it meant to be a slaptick comedy hit? At times yes, at times no. I don't think this film is intended to house deep political or even more simple messages, it simply is what it is: an outstanding comedy that accomplishes its overall goal of just being funny.

Overall: A
All I can say about Fun With Dick and Jane is that it is a good time. If you don't take it too seriously you cannot do anything but enjoy yourself. I didn't expect this to be anything special and was completely caught off guard. When all is said and done, you will have serious FUN with Dick and Jane!
