A physical comedy romp that also has a message. Beneath the surface of the silliness there is a message about.."There but for..." and corporate greed. The ensemble played well off each other and carrey and Leone are a cute and witty romantic comedy buddy couple. The Spanish/Mexican oriented son (because of his tight relationship with the housekeeper) made a cute cameo and also speaks to the employment problem in America that lies just under the surface. We take our lifestyles for granted don't we ? This "light" comedy says maybe we shouldn't. Give me a Ford Fiesta with heart over Mercedes eleganza electronica anyday. |
