One of the reasons I am loving the SC trilogy is the fact that the same actors have appeared in each -- it is great to see them grow up -- (or in this one, to age down as well)
So -- it was a disappointment that the BERNARD character was not in it and I am unsure why.
Other than that -- it was quite fun -- but not spectacular. There wasn't magic in this one -- (such as in 2 with the sleigh and snow scene) but there was humor with the addition of Martin Short & Alan Arkin.
And if for nothing else -- just the sheer joy and pleasure of seeing Ann-Margaret -- who looks totally delicious and I don't even want to know how old she is -- makes the movie WELL WORTH THE COST!
This was a good -- but not great movie. But it welcomed in the holidays -- in a fun way and I am now getting into the Holiday Spirit.
Would I tell friends to see it? Yes, but matinée cost.
Would I see it again? Probably not in the theaters.
Will I buy the DVD? Yes, I have the other 2, so need this one!! |
