This nimrod can't even tell the truth anymore. Obviously senility has set in and retirement is iminent.
First off Resident Evil was a pretty good movie. It combined your typical zombie flick with futuristic technology and a few twists. Not great but definitely worth watching.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse picks up right where the first left off. Filling in some of the gaps as to why Milla woke up in the hospital and Raccoon City was in ruin.
I honestly expected a sequel that wasn't as good as the first but was pleasently surprised. The characters were just as interesting in the 2nd and maybe even more so. The action was furious and in some ways reminisent to Aliens (which I still think is the greatest high paced SciFi action flick of all time) and there were more twists added. The story keeps getting deeper and new more insidious layers of evil are unearthed about the Umbrella Corporation.
My only complaint was the probable setup for RE:3. After taking us to the edge of our seats for an hour or so the last 15 minutes were too slow but all in all it worked and I look forward to the next sequel.
This movie is definitely made for male audiences with the two red hot actress leads wearing just about no cloting throughout the flick. But if you like hi paced action, Sci Fi, and gore this is one of the best movies to have it served up.
It's amazing this is the same director as AVP because that was a total letdown but this flick ROCKED! |
