Now, I will admit that the first Residet Evil was poorly done and lacked many ties to the actual video-game. So I could see where some fans of the game could have been upset with the first one. However, this movie has such important ties to the game and story, while still blending in some original ideas from Anderson. Now I don't wanna spoil the story for anyone, but for those of you who like the game you will be very happy with RE2 and its ties to the games RE2 and RE3.
By increasing the quality of the story from the first one, they also increased both the quality and quantity of the action. Not only does Alice, Jill and Carlos fight just zombies and the messed up dogs, we also get to see them fight Umbrella thugs and a unforgetable showdown between Alice and the Nemisis, TWICE!
Now don't get me wrong Alice(Milla) is awesome to look at fighting and cause she is hot, but wow did they make Jill Valentine(Seinna) something to remember. With an Uncanny resemblence to the game character and with an equally fearless and badass attitude, and not to mention she is stunning to look at, she fit the character perfectly. Acting was excellent.
The only part that I was not honestly happy with was the ending that seemed to be a bit weird. I have my predictions on what will happen in the next one, but I am not sure if they are correct.
Overall this movie rocked and has been my highlight movie in the last while. Great innovative story, non-stop action, spooky visuals and good acting, with some very funny comic relief. Go and see this movie all RE fans and action fans and keep an eye out for this new hottie-action star Seinna Guillory, she really does it for me!!!!!!!! |
