Good story, improved effects, solid action!

This movie was worth the money and effort Hollywood spent to remake it. The effects were improved and the story was well balanced with action and plot. The most rewarding thing to me is that they finally got The Hulk's personality right and improved on the action. The hulk I always knew could rip cars about with his bare hands - we get that here. The hulk is a complex hero. Like Batman, he can have a nasty side. Like Spiderman, he struggles with his identities. The first movie portrayed the hulk more like jeckell & hide, where he had no control and merely acted out depending on what state Banner was in. In contrast, in the new movie, Banner is both good and terrorizing as the hulk. You can see were he could tear the city and his opponents appears. And yet, you see the compassion and goodness very clearly. This is what I felt as a child when watching those afternoon Hulk cartons. With this movie, I felt it again. This Hulk leaves you in awe and makes you love him. |
