I have seen this movie 100 times may be even 200, can see it more times. This is the perfect movie created in bollywood and is a masterpiece. Every character be it Jai, Veeru, Basanti, Thakur, Gabar, Surma Bhopali, Kalia, the place Ramgarh are known by everyone in Bollywood and these keep repeating in the Indian movies even now. Most amazing dialogues like Gabar's "jo dar gay so mano mar gaya" or "yeh haath mujhe de de thakur" or the jailer's "Hum angregon ke zamane ke jailer hain". There are so many songs made from the dialogues of Sholey. Some directors are trying to remake this movie now. |
