funny but..

Scary Movie 4 stars Anna Faris and Regina Hall (who has died in just about every Scary Movie thus far) as Cindy Campell. Cindy has left her job as journalist and her son Cody is now at a military academy, and she has moved into a haunted house, caring for a catatonic old lady. She has moved next door to Tom Ryan aka Tom Cruise's character in War of the Worlds. Cindy is crushing on Tom, becuase she is lost George in a terrible boxing accident (a la Million Dollar Baby). And then aliens invade earth and all mayham breaks loose. The final result is funny yes, but not hillarious. There are no surprise, or jokes that catch us of guard. It's more of the same stuff, just not as funny, and I was kind of disappointed.
I was really excited to see this movie. I had a count down on my MSN and everything. I was the first one there (with my friends of course, cuz im not a loner and i don't see movies alone) and we were all so excited to see it. The film got ff to a strong start with a funny spoof of Saw with Shaq and Dr. Phil, and then a funny little bit with amoebas singing "I like big butts and i can not lie" and then there was some really funny stuff spoofing the grudge. And then the aliens came to earth, and the laughs dried up. The beginning was fresh and hillarious, but the movie became to muddles and un-funny. There was nothing that we hadn't seen before. The Village spoof could've been so good, but it wasn't. I do however give props to a hillarious ending.
Overall Scary Movie 4 is definately not the best in the series. It's funny, but it's not hillarious or surprising. I recommend it if you want to go and have a good laugh but i advise you not to be blown away with its hysterical-ness. It's definately a step down from the third installment.
TIME FOR MY TEN SECOND SUMMARY. Funny. Not great. Not surprsing. Anna Faris is hillarious. String beginning. Strong ending. Dull middle. Not the best one.
