UGH when will this movie END is mostly what I kept thinking. Towards the end is when stuff actually starts happening, but it comes way too instantly so i got extremely lost.
It seems like everyone is betraying everyone in this movie and by the end, you're pissed because people died believing that certain someones were true to them, when in fact NOT. egh i dont know.
There is tons of silence in this movie. I counted like a 10 minute length of filming where NO WORDS were spoken. Sometimes its dramatic, but in this case just annoying.
Zhang ziyi is a good actress sometimes, but other times she overacts...eh i dont know i didnt care for it too much. There are some gentle tear jerkers throughout, don't get me wrong.
Overall the movie just had a confusing feel to it, with strange camera techniques, bad dialogue, and an ending that just makes you say "eww ok whatever" |
