Updates the old one, and does it quite well.

I liked it. A lot. It surprised me, actually. I won't spoil it for you, although most everybody who have seen the predecessor know what's going to happen. But this movie modernizes the movie and Disney actually includes some teen issues and angst.
There aren't any major flaws. Jamie Lee Curtis, the teenage girl trapped in the mother's body, has a lot of fun. She gets her ear pierced, like she wanted to do. The mother trapped in the daughter's body faces the humiliation and tension a regular teenager faces at school, and ends up bonding with her daughter and her friends.
Basically, this is a movie most will enjoy. It will probably do good at the box office because the commercial is not only plastered all over the internet, but I always see it on TV. Overall, it's a good movie, and I'd recommend it to everybody.
Those who enjoyed "Freaky Friday" would enjoy "Big," "The Parent Trap," and the original "Freaky Friday." |
