First, let me say that I fully understand that it was pretty much impossible to fit a 700+ page book into a movie. But, did they have to chop up and rearrange everything??? They could've kept the scenes they had in the movie, but at least put the right people where they belong. I mean c'mon, at least show us Rita Skeeter getting caught as an unregistered animagus. And what happened to the 3rd task? Where were all the obsticles? What, some wind and devils snare and thats it??? They could've at least put the sphynx and the spider in there. I don't know. Maybe just being picky, but I expected there would be more from the book. At least in the tasks portion of the movie. All in the name of profits I guess. Poor Doby, Winky, Bagman, Mrs. Weasley and Percy Weasley. Well, I'm guessing since they really didn't lead into the OOTP movie, that one will be chopped to death as well. Maybe they'll have McGonagall leading Dumbledore's Army in the next movie (if they even have that at all). Just sad. Someone please tell the next director that those loyal to the book would like to something remotely close to that in the movie. |
