Great Movie, but Not Perfect

I was fortunate enough to be able to watch an early screening of Elektra. Being a huge Marvel fan, I was thrilled that an Elektra movie was being made as a spin-off of the mediocre Daredevil. Even though the story was a little off target and not as accurate, it was still a decent and entertaining movie.
Jennifer Garner delivers a great performance as Elektra and captures the dark personality of her character brilliantly (not to mention being great eye-candy). The rest of the cast puts up an average acting performance, but that is expected with a fairly new cast. The direction and visuals of this movie were great, but just not spectacular. Fighting scenes throughout the movie keep you very entertained and will never leave you looking at your watch.
Overall, I definitely recommend this movie if you are looking for great entertainment. If you love action packed movies with a lot of hands-on-combat, this is the movie for you. |
